to GSU President


"Grambling State University President, Dr. Frank Pogue, recently announced his retirement effective June 30; and on behalf of the Grambling National Alumni Association, I extend our gratitude to Dr. Pogue for his dedication and service to GSU these last five years. We wish Dr. & Mrs. Pogue all the best as they embark on a new chapter in their lives. Moreover, we pledge our continued support to the university during this transition. One Village, One Vision, One Mission, One Grambling!"

The Home Depot Retool Your School Grant Program


INTRODUCTION

The Home Depot RETOOL YOUR SCHOOL Grant Program (“Program”) is designed by Home Depot U.S.A., Inc. (“Sponsor”), to encourage and recognize innovative projects (“Projects”) that contribute to the campuses of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (“HBCUs”).
HBCUs (“Respondents”) are invited to submit proposals for Projects (“Proposals”) in accordance with the requirements set forth below.
Campus improvement awards (“Grants”) will be awarded to Respondents (“Grantees”) on or about May 2, 2014. One (1) Grant of $50,000 USD will be awarded for a Tier I Project; three (3) Grant of $25,000 USD each will be awarded for a Campus Pride Project, and thirteen (13) Grants of $10,000 USD each will be awarded for Tier II Projects. All award Grantees will execute their projects within one hundred eighty (180) days or six (6) months after the award notification date.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Painting by GSU Alumnae Frank Kelley Jr. Available for purchase now!
This painting was created to celebrate two of America’s powerful visionaries Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Harriett “Moses” Tubman. World renowned artist Frank Kelley, Jr. a Grambling State University alumnae has committed a percentage of the proceeds to be donated to GSU.
Mr. Kelley will only have 500 prints* available for purchase. He invites all Grambling supporters to consider purchasing a print and a donation will go to support Grambling State University. Painting will be on displayed at the 3rd Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Distinguished 
Leadership Awards Luncheon.

GUNAA 2014 Dues, Insurance, and Chapter Annual Assessments Are Due!
GUNAA dues, Insurance, and chapter assessment ($200.00) should be postmarked on or before December 31st of each year. A 10% LATE FEE is due and payable with all DUES & ASSESSMENTS paid on or after February 1st of each year. Click the "Documents/Forms" tab under "Members Only" for the latest version of the Annual Reports. See the Chapter Information Tab ~ Chapter Responsibility for additional details.  Hard copies of all annual reports including other important information are mailed to financial chapters.
